It’s been a long busy time here with a lot on the plate (but not dinner, more like a big platter) and we’ve all given the blog a long holiday. But some updates:
We solved the Russian Blogosphere Spam problem, Слава Богу (Slava Bogu – or Thank God!). The answer was the Advanced Google reCAPTCHA plugin. Works like a charm. Now instead of “The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming,” it’s a big fat “The Russian Bots Are Gone.” Completely. What makes it perfect is that it is a free plugin – good for cheapos likes us.
Is Jesus Coming Back Soon?
Yeah, I know a weird question for me to be asking, huh? Well, I do know a bit about eschatology believe it or not. That doesn’t mean I think Jesus is coming back to this world though. If he does, I’ll be ready to shoot the astral event with my camera. Unless I’m sleeping. I don’t wake for anything in the middle of the night; even the second coming.
Having said all that a relation was discussing things about various faiths with me the other day and was claiming a big link if you look deeper. He discovered some insights, he says from the writings of a person in the Baha’i faith, named Jean Beach. You might have known of her husband who I learned sadly passed away – a bit of a nutcase but interesting – Bruce Beach who plopped together a bunch of school busses underground to create a nuclear war shelter, in rural Ontario.
Turns out his wife Jean was quite the philosopher in a way and has written some cool and interesting stuff about The Book Of Revelation. I’m not into mystical “woo woo” stuff much, but it was interesting to read Jesus Speaks.
Any of the controllers of the Russian Bots of the Baha’i faith? Any of our readers who hardly ever come by anymore, know anything about them? I’m too lazy to dig into it too much right now. And we still have that platter of life’s surprises to nibble away at.
